Question about PSU

Can you find any reviews of that PSU?
I couldn't even find it listed on the Sigma website. Not usually a good sign.
Crossfire Certified? Certainly NOT for two 2900Pro's. Also no 8 pin PCI-e connector.

It actually does have 2 PCI-e connectors, although they are six pin connectors. Also, some 2900 Pro's don't use both a 6 and an 8. Like you said you can still use a 6-pin in the 8 and it'd work, just not be able to OC.

If you look at the PSU though, all of the specs look pretty damn good, it's Up to 80% efficient, and hell it looks pretty on the cheap.

It does suck that I can't find any reviews on it, but there's also none on Newegg. I'd at least figure someone would buy this PSU out and try it. It does look pretty after all.

EDIT: Here's the product page for all of the products they make and sell on Newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&Manufactory=11700&N=50011700&SpeTabStoreType=0

It looks like most of their cases do pretty well in reviews and they look to be pretty solid too. I might buy one and give it some tests for the betterment of the Internet, since their's no reviews on it.

It doesn't say Crossfire or SLi certified, it says SUPPORTED.

Anyway, it doesn't have enough amps on the +12v to run much more than two 8600gt, and I wouldn't even trust it with that.

This is the best for $50:

It will power any single card system (even an 8800 Ultra)

This is the best for $80:

Modular cables and SLi CERTIFIED

A step up from the one above at $110:

Only 2 SATA connectors would be a problem for me. And it does show 1 x PCI-E in this table.
One other source listed 1 PCI-e connector.

The label left out some important specs. For one - it has 18 & 16 amp 12v rails, but what's the max combined? To be honest, I imagine it's combine 12v is 22-25 amp max like the Antec Smartpower 2.0 450W and 500W. The 450W has 17 & 15 amp max 22 amp, the 500watt has 19 & 17 amp, max 25 amp. Compare that to the earthwatts 500W with 34 amp combined. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007

I'd rather have the higher quality/plain looking PSU than the Questionable /prettier one.

You can take your chances and try it and find all is well, or have it burn up on you. Or you can spend a little more and get one you know will be good. Depends on your budget and if you're willing to try a new/unpopular brand.

Excellent point.
For example my old 305w psu
18 & 18 amp 12v rails = how many amps?
answer 22

Specs on psu's can be not what they appear to be.
I've seen some 550w psu's with less amperage than the 305w stated above.
Not being able to find the 12v amperage on a psu would at least bring the quality of the unit into question (for me anyway).
