So I've had this MB and E2200 CPU for about a week and CPU-Z has always shown my multiplier to be stuck at 6. I ahve the F4 bios, no matter what the multiplier in the bios says it won't go past 6. I can OC the FSB however, can't even get back to 2.2 though.

What are some of my options to try out? Older bios? I read about people resetting the CMOS?

I don't want to be without a PC during an RMA but I sure want the thing to work.

The E2200 is suppose to be locked at 11 not 6. 6x200 = 1200mhz, and this is the speed I'm getting in CPU-Z not 2200mhz.

What is it suppost to be? It might have eist enabled in bios that throttles it down to 6x and to 9x when under load. Try clarin

OMG. For the millionth time, this is because speedstep is enabled. There are so many posts about this.
It takes your CPU multi down to 6 when its not being used much. If you run CPUZ when your CPU is being put under load it would show x11. Or if you disable C1E speedstep, it would do the same.

LOL, I must. I didn't see that in the BIOS, is it an xp thing? I ran p95 w/ cpu-z open and I saw it jump up to 2200.

thanks
