I had a virus infection in a windows xp pro system, managed to clear it up after using Microsoft Security Essentials and System Mechanic Pro, managed to get my ethernet connection working again, but bot the USB ports and the DVD drives will not recognize or access anymedia plugged into them. The USB ports won't recongnize ANYTHING plugged into them. I cannot wipe the drive and start fresh, as there is alot of valuable data that cannot currently backed up on the HD. The system is an eMachines EL-1200-01e.
