On my kid's PC I'm getting the monitor message "Mode not supported" every time I stream video and about every hour while playing video games.
When I'm on youtube the video will stop first for about 5 seconds, then the screen goes black and that "mode not supported" message comes up on the monitor.
Sometimes I can hear the audio still playing, sometimes it locks the PC up completely.

If he's just working on homeowrk or surfing the net, everything is fine.

Normal monitor is a 19 inch lcd but I also get the error when I use a 19 inch Viewsonic CRT
I've also swapped out the ATI Radeon for a slightly older Radeon card from another machine and it still happens.
I have the latest video drivers and I ran a repair install of Win XP.
Nothing helps

What have I missed?

AMD 3200 Socket A
Matsonic MS8177C Motherboard
1GB Ram
ATI Radeon X1300 Video

Thanks

I've tried multiple resolutions and they all have the same problem.
