Hi all,

Just built a new system (specs below) sometimes the pc restarts before the login screen,
and on restart i get the usual, windows did not start properly, then when it does boot into
xp its says its recovered from a serious error. dont want to RMA the MB until im sure.

Also my temps and voltages are showing weird values! (known prob - i see with E88-- wolfdales)

Using CPUID monitor (same with easytune) I get..

DDR 2.18v " 3.31v
3.3v 3.31v " 3.31v
5v 4.89v " 6.85v
12v 11.84v " 11.84v

Temps
TMPIN0 28C 70C case
TMPIN1 19C 24C cpu

CORE 0 68C 68C
CORE 1 68C 68C

FANIN0 1781 MAX 5488 RPM
FANIN1 1758 " 5473 RPM

BIOS shows CPU temp 24C and fan speeds as above.

Check out the max values above! i think the pc would have been fried by now if these are true!

I raised the Volts +0.2 to the DDR (hoping to get it at specs 2.20v) but the voltage then
DROPPED to1.984v (in bios) even with a +0.1v raise the same result. I didnt want to try
and boot intp xp I put it back to aut and changed the memory timings from bios default 5-7-7-24 >
5-5-5-15 crucial spec.
Also CPUZ shows the maxium memory spec as PC2-6400 (400Mhz) and its running
at 533 Mhz.

I have searched the forum and tried the following...

Updated chipset drivers, audio, Lan and used the IDE only option with the raid drivers.
The MB came with the lates Bios F12
Cleared CMOS
Disabled all the thermal options in the bios, fan running at full speed.

Anyone got anything else to try, pulling my hair out! (not got much to start with ;-)
