Hi all!
I have an odd question, I've searched the web but somehow didn't find the answer.
I'm wondering about the processor speeds, the "core 2 2.2GHz" means that it has two processors each with 2.2GHz speed or it means one processor with 2.2GHz and two lanes (cores) or that means two processors with 1.1Ghz each?
The same about "core 2 Quad" and the difference from the previous Pentium D.

The 2 cores run at the same speed. Same for Quad, all cores run at the same speed, nor can you adjust one core to be slower or faster then the other one.

So if anyone tells you they have, lets say a quad at 2.4ghz, all 4 cores are running at 2.4ghz. Not 2400mhz/4= 600mhz per core. That would be wrong.

EDIT: Adding to the above, 2*2.2 != 4.4 in case someone tries to tell you that too ;)

So that means that when I have "core 2 2.2" actually I have two processors with 2.2GHz each, right?
