Hi everybody,

I have a desktop PC with Asus P5DL2 motherboard, with PentiumD 840 processor (3,2 Ghz).
Looking at the bios, the Cpu is detect at 3,2 Ghz, but CPU-Z utility give this result:

Cpu frequency 2800 Mhz
FSB 200 Mhz
Multiplier 14x

Now...the question is:The multiplier should be set to 16x ??? (16 x 200=3200 right???)

I'm using my cpu at the its max speed or not???
Could i modify the multiplier?
Why the bios dectecting is different from the CPU-Z's one?

Some suggestions? Thank you anyway..

is speedstep enabled? i think speedstep lowers the multiplier when the system is not under load. watch cpu-z when you put the processor under load.
