Intel releases new quad processors called xeon

Xeons based upon the Core 2 architecture have been available for years. This is not new news.

Actually if you look at the link it is. They show a listing of Intels 45nm CPUs and a range of quad cores that scale from 2GHz to 3.2GHz in the server side.

Now if this is real or not I can't say but it looks pretty accurate especially since, and very few people know this, Intel is releasing a lower quad core CPU. The Q6400 running at 2.13GHz.

Either way this may mean, along with Xibit labs preview of the Q9300, that they are planning to release Yorkfeild sometime this month which would make me very happy.

No, It's not new.
They have been available since last Nov.
