Intel has released a new range of processors called xeon. They come in core 2 duo and core quad. Quieter and more energy efficient.

Actually if you look at the link it is. They show a listing of Intels 45nm CPUs and a range of quad cores that scale from 2GHz to 3.2GHz in the server side.

Now if this is real or not I can't say but it looks pretty accurate especially since, and very few people know this, Intel is releasing a lower quad core CPU. The Q6400 running at 2.13GHz.

Either way this may mean, along with Xibit labs preview of the Q9300, that they are planning to release Yorkfeild sometime this month which would make me very happy.

Intel to focus on 2-way servers on 65nm processors throughout 2007
