Getting the Toshiba 36SW9UA (HD) on Tuesday. And i want to hook it up
to my PC and see what it can do. The video card is an Leadtek 6600 Gt
Agp TDH card.
It has Svideo and componet connections via a DIN out on the card the
card has a Adaptor with the componet connections. Nice of them to
include it.
I have plenty of Divx movies and Even some HD 720p and 1080i video
clips. Movie trailers and the such. And i have even seen some full
movie son p2p HD ones.
I had alook at the nvidia settings and the dual view settings. If i
want to hook this TV up shoudl i select the 1080i option ? for all
movies. And if i play a 720p movie it will play it in 720p ? or do i
have to change the settings all the time ?
Also i would like to know what resolution my desktop needs to be to be
safe. Mine is 1600by1200 at 85htz at the momment and i dont want to
switch to TV view and Blow somthing up in my TV That would be bad.
Just would like to know whats safe.
If you can help with anything i have asked or even add more stuff that
would be great. Becuase the DVDS in widescreen and TV or course will
wear off and i would like to see some HD from my PC if possible.
Will my TV show real HD 1920 by 1080 or lower but still way betetr
than DVD quality ?
If i do all this and it works what drive to you recomend for a media
drive. I was lookign at the Seagate 7000.8 400 Gig drive, 450 bucks
whats so cheap and its SATA. Would like a big drive if i ever wanted
to record some HD movies, Shows ect. But thats a whole different thing
i will get into if i can get the Showing of the stuff going good.
