I got a strange shadows with Blacksite: Area 51. My settings is maxed out, the graphics look good but the shadows are crappy. See what I mean:

I have tryed a various settings on CCC but no matter what settings I use the shadows are the same :(
I do not have such problems with shadows in UT3, since Area51 uses the same engine so it is not an engine issue;
Is this a driver bug or a game bug ? Does anyone have something like that?
I'm using catalyst ver:8.1, XP 64 bit, Radeon HD 3870

Yeah I have the same problem with windows vista business 64 and XP32!!!
I have also noticed it on spider-man 3, world in conflict, beowulf and a few more games!
It has definitely something to do with HD3870 and RV670 or even the drivers... (has anyone reported this to ATI? They should know and maybe they even have a patch like for Crysis)
I also have the HD3870 and I am sure it's the only one with those problems....

My brother's 8800GT has the same shadows like this, so I presume it is not only ati problem :(

I'm using 8800GTS 320 and I also experience the same problem with Gears of War.

It seems it is pixeling out while softening the shadows. Does it show same glitch on sharp shadowing?

These are the option and even though it has AA as an option it just WON'T change from "OFF"

Without Dynamic Shadows there are NO SHADOWS AT ALL....

Also note that the black shadowy pixels on the cement wall are shadows and change as you move....

I also noticed something on Oblivion and it might have something to do with it......(see the column in the middle)

ALSO something with the shadows on Assassins Creed......
(And I reported this to ATI but no reply....)

I wouldn't be surprised right off, that Blacksite is having any types of problems. The game sucks. The game is known as a buggy one. Though now hearing that other games have the same problem. Sound's like a graphics card bug.

I would say it's a game or driver bug.
