3d Mark 06 score
I've just upgraded my graphics card from a fx5500 to a nvidia 7600gt.
with my fx5500 card I was getting a score of 95-109 in 3d Mark, but with my 7600gt card I'm getting a score of 1478

So I did a compare against the exact same machine and they were getting into the mid 5000 scores ????

Now I know my card needs a power supply of min 300w and I only have a 240w at the mo ( waiting for delivery )
but can this truly make so much difference ??

Also because my power is lower will this reduce the power of the card, ie clock marks ( will they automatically reduce )

my system is,
amd athlon 64 3400 +
2.4ghz
1gb memory
gforce nvidia 7600gt

Well its not a great idea to run the card off such a small psu anyway and so I guess it could cause performance set backs.

Yes that small of a power supply can make that huge of a diffrence, your cpu alone if its a p4 can take up to 120 watts alone, before adding in cooling, video card, dvd, harddrive, extra fans, lighting, etc.
