Hey there, It's been a LONG while since I've upgraded; I'm running an Abit IC-7 MAX3 P4 3.0ghz 9800pro

I plan to run Vista 64x since I'd prefer 4gb ram. This rig will mainly be used to run games such as Crysis and WoW. I'm also hoping this system will OC fairly well.

Anyways, I've been researching and gathering parts for a new rig and I'm seeking your input/adivce on the parts.

Total: $1100

I will be using the case, DVD drive and sound card from this "rig".

I'm not sure if my memory choice is the best, perhaps there are faster/better ones for my setup.

Also, I'm not sure if the hard drive is worth it. I'm sure I can deal with 150gb of space but is it worth the price as opposed to the ones which are 5x bigger but a bit slower.

Any Input/Suggestions are welcome... I am ready to pull the trigger but I would like some final thoughts from the experts. :)

Get Crucial Ballistix Memory.
Keep the Raptor if you have other hardrives for storage :)
Get an EVGA 8800GTS 512MB Crysis Edition. Free 90-day step up if a new card is released and you want to upgrade! Also, benchmarks have shown the EVGA to just BARELY outperform the other brands ([H]ardOCP forums)http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQ0OCwxLCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==

Everything else looks SOLID! maybe get the Corsair 620HX? 520 should be adequate though.

Okay, I've added the Crucial Ballistix Memory.

I'm wondering if I should get a 8800GTS(g92) or 8800GT. Here are the ones I'm looking at.

EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814130318
$249.99

OR

BFG Tech BFGE88512GTSE GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814143119
$309.99

Any Suggestions on the better value/performance/bang for the buck? or another card I don't know about? I already have Crysis so the Crysis bundle is useless to me. Thanks in advance.

^ are those two hard drives really going to be faster than the raptor?

Also, any opinions on the 32mb barracudas? Specifically http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822148288

I'd just like some more opinions on what would be the best hard drive setup with a reasonable price.

I'm just about ready to pull the trigger, just looking for some final thoughts and any little suggestions or tweaks on the setup plus info about the hard drives.

Thanks for all the input, guys.
