Looks like the new 3DMark is on the way, Vista only this time.

By the way, in the second screenshot the two smaller ships look EXACTLY like the Hyperion from X3: Reunion :heink:

Edit: On second thought, they don't look EXACTLY the same but still pretty darn close.

Is that a newer version than the one I use?

From the screens I've seen, it'll probably toast anything less than a 8800GS or Radeon HD3850

I'm confused, but the 3DMark Vantage that you have is not the one I am referring to. I think you have PCMark Vantage, which is a different thing.

kpo is confused and you are correct. The version that has been around a while is PCMark Vantage and the version you are refering to is 3DMark Vantage. My PCMark Vantage score is 3982, I'm looking forward to the new 3DMark.

This is correct. Sorry for my confusion. I got the wrong program.

Alright, that's what I was thinking.

Anyways I would love to here thoughts on 3DMark going Vista only. In my opinion it makes sense given that 3DMark06 is a perfectly capable benchmark for DX9. Maybe this will prompt Nvidia and ATI to get decent DX10 drivers out as well...
