I was just a bit confused by this card. I was under the impression it was still the same old 8800GT underneath so why has this card got 1GB of VRAM?

The increased memory bandwidth is close to the 8800GTS and at the same price... So what makes this card so special :S and why is this the first i've heard of a 1GB 8800GT?

I read that the G92 core on the 8800gt can't take full advantage of a the full 1GB, it's more of a selling point than an actual performance boost.

Also I noticed that your post times^^ say it is 12:45 on 02-01-2008, for me its actualy 7:30 on January 31st, time zones are crazy.

I thought so, thanks for the reviews. I didn't think the 8800GT would be powerful enough to justify extra memory. Reading through those reviews now :P
