I have a Compaq Evo n600c laptop and as far as I can tell with my research it takes pc 133 sodimm ram. it has 2 slots and can take no more then 1gb of ram. it seems really expensive but i found some on e-bay that I hope will work and I am looking for some confirmation. will the following ram work in my laptop? 512MB PC133 SODIMM SDRAM LAPTOP PC 133 PC100 144PIN. The thing is the sdram part because when i do a compatability check it always mentions the pc 133 sodimm part but never the sdram part. Thanks in advance for your help.

for PC 133 so-dimm, this should work (best to replace both banks at once)

$76

if the system has PC 100 (and you dont want 2 of the faster 133)

$63

A link to some SO-DIMM info

SDRAM or Single Data Rate

in essence these RAM's should work (MB compatibility issues aside)

That seems to be generic memory. I would stay away from generic memory. It can cause some hard to detect probelms.

I assume this stuff would be better were it is low density/ still generic but for the prices name brand is going I am willing to take the risk. What does anybody think?
