The part on the external drive that you use to connect it to the computer broke.

The metal part on the hard drive that you plug the other end of the ubs has broken. How do I fix it?

    You most likely cannot, but you can buy another USB Hard drive enclosure (only), extract the drive, and place in the new enclosure.
