can i OC?

my cpu temp for my e6600 is 54 degrees celcius at 100% load. should i forget about OCing or could i get a lil in there. how much could i OC if any?

What kind of cooler do you have? If stock then you can upgrade your cooler and have more room for OC (in respect to temps).

What program are you using to measure temperatures? Tcase (cpu) max for that chip is 61c I believe. Tjunction max is around 85c (cortemperature).

Read the sticky on Core2 Quad and Duo Temperature guide at the top of the overclocking page. It has all the info you need on your processor, and how to calibrate speedfan to get accurate temperature readings.
