Any software to protect WD portable hard drive

I have a 320 GB Western Digital passport Essential. I am looking for any software that will create a password to open it. There is a software in it for encrption but I do not want to use it. Just simple password to open the file

The only way to protect your files is to use Encryption, it might be worth looking at Windows built-in file encryption (search MS web site).

If you need 100% protection - encrypt all. If you need to block your entire drive - use Lockngo (www.lockngo.com). If you need just a secret place on the drive where you can keep your private files - use Securentfs (www.securentfs.com)
