The new 9800 GX2 will obliterate the 8800 Ultra and outperform the HD 3870X2.
I picked up some pictures and benchmark from chinese webpages.

I've heard there a lot of fake benchmarks of this card going around so I will wait till TH gets their hands on one of these to make up my mind

I purchased an eVGA 8800GTX about a month ago for a new system build. It cost around $530, so if the new 9800 GX2 comes out for cheaper than that can I still use the step-up program?

You probablly can, but don't expect any money back.

Even I can post a bunch of numbers saying HD3870X2 will outperform 9800GX2. Your website is no proof, so stop posting rumor

If you have a 8800GT(or more) it might pay to wait for the G200. Spend your time researching what psu and cooling solution you will require.

yeah, i have a BFG 8800gt 512 and I think I am going to skip buying this 9800. It doesnt seem to offer enough for me spend the extra money. It would be more worth it to me to just buy another 8800 GT.

i am doing a new build now. i waiting on a rma'd 780i. i already had two gtx's and i just ordered a third plus two (g92) 8800gts in my old rig. i had debated waiting for the 9800gx2's but so far dual gpu cards seem to promise a lot but ulitmately fall short. things are looking up the 3870x2 seems to have made some improvemts even if there are some rednering errors in games like crysis. i hope when the 9800gx2 does come out it does exactly what it should...kick @$$. i am tired of loosing pci slots to grapics cards and tri-sli leaves you with squat.
