I have 4gb of xlr8 pc-6400, Biostar tforce 590sli board and Amd 5000+ running @ 3.24ghz @19C idle.
I've read that memory can be clocked to 1040mhz+ @ cas4.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on exactly how to do so.
What settings to manipulate.
I'm Running Phoenix Technologies 6.00 PG but am unfimaliar with some settings.
Everything i've tried won't boot and i know i'm missing something.
EPP 2 profile is active and working,@333mhz dual channel.
But I want more!
Thanks

1. Read the manual, it should explain the BIOS settings.
2. Biostar is not exactly the "star" when it comes to OCing.
3. You got PNY RAM, which is generally cr@p. (Get Crucial Ballastix,OCZ, Corsair XMS2 for OCing RAM, Crucial Ballastix being the best for OCing [D9 chips, W00t!])
4. That OC doesn't sound right. Come on 1040+ @ cas 4?!?! More like CAS 5+.
5. You are probably running 4*1GB, so forget about OCing to 1040 on that motherboard. (You need a voltage increase, etc to run 6+hrs Prime95 with out problems for 4*1GB (in general for all motherboards 4*1GB is pretty hard to OC well).

^That review is for a single 1GB module so that speed could be possible for one DIMM, but highly unlikely for 4 DIMMs.
