I just updated from the drivers v 7.10 to 8.1 and I notice a HUGE performance decrease with all of my games, is there a reason for this? I was thinking that maybe I got a virus right around the time I updated the drivers because now I cant even run NFS Pro street with out lowering the resolution to 640x480, Before I had it at 1280x900 with high setting 4xaa and got more fps than I do now with it lowest at 640x480!!! What the hell is up with that? Should I downgrade my drivers back to 7.10? ty

My specs are
C2D E6400 @ 2.13GHz
ATi 1950GT 256MB AGP
2Gigs DDR2 533

What I would suggest you do is update your anti-virus program, run a full scan and see if you have any viruses.
If you don't, then go back to the older drivers that worked good for you.

Well, there was no virus's, so I guess I'm just going to downgrade my drivers now, ty

Did you clean out the old driver first, or did you just install the new driver on top of the old driver?
