Flash drive from Linux to Windows

I have a 4gig flash drive which i had information from my old linux system and when i plug it into my xp computer nothing shows up and it only shows a little more than 3gigs of free space

    The flash drive was orginally formatted fat32 on the freespire version of linux 2009. But when I put the drive into my XP computer the drive was recognized but wasnt able to read so I formated it again to ntfs and thats where it started showing only 3 gigs. the files are my documents I had on that computer
