Well I'm thinking of buying one of those mobos for my Phenom 9600 BE. At first I WAS going to buy the GA-MA790FX-DS5 'cause the mobo can support up to 16 GB, so it's quiet future proof, but only 2 PCIe. Today I woke up and check my local PC store and somehow they lower the price of the ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe/WiFi, lower than the Gigabyte one (also supports Crossfire X), but it supports only 8 GB of ram. What should I go with if I'm going to upgrade to an AM3 + 8,16 GB in the future and probably don't have money for Crossfire X.
------------------------------AMD Phenom 9600 BE 2.3 GHz | DDR2 Ram 4 GB 800 MHz | HDD 1 TB (500X2) RAID 0
ATI HD 3870 X2 GDDR3 1024 MB | ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe/WiFi | ZEROtherm Nirvara
NZXT Apollo Black Case | NZXT Power Supply 800W
what I suggest to stick on GIGABYTE GA-MA790FX-DS5, since its have more flexiable to extend the memory bandwith to 16GB and running Crossfile by 2 PCIE slots.
Don't know much about the Gigabyte boards, but the MVP didn't get rave reviews. You may want to consider going up a notch to the M3A79-T deluxe with the 750 SB, has the crossfire@2x16 PCI-E. More OC options to play with.
The draw backs for you are it only supports 8 GB of memory, and no Wi/Fi . Allthough WiFi cards are fairly cheap.
