Hey Tommy Hardware!

I'm gonna build a computer for the first time! I'm just not sure if the stuff I'm about to order is any good. I'll list them here

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R

This one supports DDR2 and DDR3. Also, reviews say it is nice to you if you wanna O.C.. :ouch:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3,0GHz

I liked what its specification had to offer.

Mem: Mushkin XP2-6400 2x2GB DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz

These have low latency. Also, a similiar memory got very good reviews. :sol:

GPU: ASUS GEFORCE EXTREME N8800GT 512 MB

I am open for suggestions on this one... only DON'T mention ATI, god I hate ATI! :-[

HD: SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.11 32 MB 500 GB

Go figure!

Case: Antec P180B

It is supposed to be quiet, let's hope so cause I've got total potential to throw a noisy computer with everything out through the window! :fou:

PSU: Corsair CMPSU-550VXEU 550W

Probably just a liiiittle bit too many watts, but you never know!

DVD: Asus DRW-2014L1T

This one deals with anything but bluray, buhu! :'-(

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U9F

Never seen anything more beautiful in that size!  Picture goes here http://www.hydro-powered.co.uk/catalog/images/noctua_nh...

So what do you think? I'm gonna order soon! Just gonna call a shop after this weekend and see if they got the CPU (darn Sweden, always has to be behind).

I'd personally use a bigger PSU for future upgrades or in case you wanted to put in another card for SLI etc. Up to you though.

That PSU can handle SLI, i see no need for upgrading, but it's your call.

Heya! What do they actually mean that various components can be SLI ready? I have even seen ram memory that is SLI ready! ???
