Can anyone think of any faults in this round up or anything to make it better.

More about almost build advice needed
  1. how do you plan on running SLI on an X38 board exactly? You'll need an nvidia chipset.

If your looking for a bit of a powerhouse look at the 3870X2, it should be stocked soon.
  2. Your only option is 780i if you need SLI. EVGA/ASUS both have such boards.

Is it going to be overclocked?
  3. ^Agreed you need an nVidia chipset to run SLI. Imo, SLI is not worth it unless you plan to run games on a huge monitor with every setting at max.
  4. WHAT A NOOB
DIDNT LOOK INTO THE MOTHERBOARD SITUATION SO THX FOR THE ADVICE
    BUT YES
HAVE A GREAT MONITOR WANT EVERYHTING AT TOP RES SO WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST.

    MANY THX
    FOR THE HELP BTW
  5. for 780i SLi:

    Asus P5N-T or EVGA 780i

    for X38 Crossfire:

    ASUS P5E

    http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mainboards/display/asus-p5e_3.html#sect0

They all do DDR2 - cheap, & dual cards. The best overclocker would be the P5E. Just keep upgrading to a more powerful single card.

Is it going to be overclocked?
