Just got my XFX 8800GT and was wondering what the best driver is currently. XFX has a 169.32 and Nvidia has the 169.21. I figure the manufacturer's driver would be preferable, but wanted some input on it, especially any experience. Thanks in advance.

The Nvidia driver seems to work ok. I'm just d/l'ing the Beta 169.28 to see if there is any improvements. Can the best get any better?

Usually, the latest is the best. So don't worry about it.

Thanks for the replies. I loaded the 169.32 and all seems to be fine. No grand test yet, but no negative symptoms. Card went in real smooth, no problems whatsoever. Must have hit a one day special or something, picked it up at Amazon for 249.99 w/free shipping. I upped the fan speed to 60% and is idling at 50°, 5 cooler than my 7900GS it replaced.

My ambient is pretty high. I have to keep the house warm for my ill wife. Don't have a good way of measuring right at the pc, but generally I'm 24-24c (75-77f). I'm going to go ahead and add the Arctic Cooling Accels1 rev 2 and turbo module when they get in at Newegg. Not that expensive and you can't get too cool in a pc.
