Vantec external enclosure not compatable with 1.5TB drive?

I have a Seagate 1.5tb drive inside a Vantec Sata & USB external enclosre. I was having a lot of problem with the drive trying to edit off of it. I finally took the drive out of the enclosre and hooked it up internally and it seems to work. I am thinking perhaps the Vantec Enclosure is not compatable with 1.5TB drives. Do we know of an enclosure that will work with 1.5 TB drives?

There are several Rosewills here.
Unfortunately this looks like the only brand that supports 1.5 TB at the moment.
