Icons are so HUGE

Hello, I'm typing this message/plea for help because on the desktop Icons and font are so Huge that I cannot adjust size of icons when I am in appearance menu from the control panel. Please help????

Right-click (on the desk-top) -> Properties -> Settings and check the screen resolution; if you can't increase it, you might have the wrong graphics card driver installed.
