Hello,
windows seven crashed got a fresh install but product key has rubbed off back of laptop it will go on internet but freezes on internet explorer page. can view video and get sound from media player is this freezing because the operating system is not registered when i booted it up it had two updates from windows update i said yes go ahead and now the pc will not respond IDEAS

no its not freezing because of that--you have 30 days to register--you will need to get a genuine serial--phone ms

was one update internet explorer 9? as some people have had problems after installing it --if so uninstall it

Use firefox web browser to see what happens.

Even if your 30 days trail period was over you'll still be able to work in windows, surf the internet etc.

If using firefox does not work, just format and reinstall windows.
