so i got caught up at looking at stuff i shouldn't have been looking at without a firewall i guess i got too cocky because i have not been with a firewall for a few months. but i'm pretty sure it was from yesterday. no it wasn't porn haha, it was close though. not gonna go into it with reason because it doesn't really matter.

okay so i was playing a game maybe like 10-20min after i left one of the websites. and this thing pops up i've never seen before asking for permission. so i'm like wtf is this? so i click cancel. and i guess it kinda used adobe to trick me. because i've had an adobe pop-up before saying to update or something so i just canceled it. then the weird pop-up comes again i don't remember the program/name that was asking for permission but it looked sketchy. so again i'm like wtf and i cancel it and then(this happened twice but i only noticed it the 2nd time) the adobe popup says that i cancelled something so the adobe crashed. and the adobe window turned black then it went away and then the weird pop-up came back. (this made my game window temp. black) so i get kinda annoyed some i just click continue just to get over with the annoying popup. then this is where the fun began. a windows pop-up said(i dont remember this niether because i shut down the computer as soon as it was spamming because i didnt want it to *** my hardware up or anything) so it had a message only part i remember was at the end where it said this message or something could damage the hardware it didn't use the word damage but it was another word for it.

so that was the message that i got that was spamming and making the computer kinda delay so i just shut my computer off by button because the cursor would take too long to respond. how do i remove this kind of virus? i tried running a system restore on my other user because i always have 2 users and i give the user i don't use administrator rights just incase this would happen. but it wouldnt let me. i don't know if a system restore would work for both accounts either. but it would not work. i tried removing the account thats infected by the other user, it would act as if it deleted it with the proccesses but it would not work because the icon was still there.

what programs do i need to run to get rid of this? i have a comcast firewall McAfee. but it expires and i have to re-install it every time it expires. but this time i was too lazy to do so. should i download this now or is it too late? i saw a post when i typed a question in google to run malwarebyte or something. i think i saw a step by step post to do so. can someone help me out or forward me to the thread

thanks, for the time both of you. i did the guide from tomshardware it took away the infection when i logged back in on normal mode i only used steps 1,2 and i think it restored my pc because i was missing a few things. but glad it's gone and pretty surprised i handled that myself

Well, it was not restored, those things we're probably infected, that's why the change.
