Just looking for a dirt cheap video card for an old P4 AGP system thats about six years old. Only use for this computer is checking email and browsing the web.

It's an HP system that I bought in a retail store. I have no idea how powerful the PSU is. Originally it had a Geforce 4 MMX which was swapped out for a ATI 9600 All-in-Wonder that no longer works.

The video card I was looking at is this here.

Any advice would be great.

thats a good card for what you do. But if you a little more to get a Radeon X1600PRO which will have a far greater quality in DVD playbacks with hardware Acceleration and perhaps some light gaming.

but no the less, the cheapest AGP card that is available today

NVIDIA GeForce 6200
ATI Radeon 7000

hope this helps

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll probably stick with this. I won't be playing any DVDs and its going to be used at work.

Any old piece of crap card will be fine if you don't need gaming or DVDs. Just get the cheapest AGP card you can find.

I second the XFX 6200. Mine works flawlessly.
