not the typical components use to oc, but it is never hurt to try, one thing is good is your cpu since it is 10 Multi, if you can set memory to 266 which is 1:1 native, you get 2.66GHZ.
and please get all information before you try.
Over clock forum has some post will give your some idea.

The 945 is really not an overclocking chip set. Its main use is for stock speed systems with integrated video. I have not seen the ASUS board, but Gigabyte and others do not support overclocking with this chip.

The E4400 with at least a P31 chipset would be your best bet. A P35 chipset would be even better.

In either case, I doubt you will be able to go beyond the 266 FSB of your ram. If the BIOS allows, set the CPU FSB to 266 and see what happens. If the machine does not boot, simply reset the CMOS and all should be back to normal.

Bios is limited by the mobo and written for a series of mobos. You can't put a monster bios designed for a OC tweakers mobo into a low end mobo. You got a very basic mobo. Replace it or live with it.

If your gonna replace the mobo, you'll need different ram since your running two different brands if you want to OC well.. And you have a aftermarket CPU heatsink? And thought about new NB and SB heatsinks? You will generate a lotta heat, many standard heatsinks can't keep the temp down. And does your case have enough cooling? What about your PSU? Is the PSU a tier 2? What about video? What card you running?

Standard OC questions............

I have overclocked quite a few 945 boards. The FSB limit with the 945 is usually much lower than a 965 or P35, but with his chip he should be able to hit 2.6ghz. The problem here is that he didn't give the right MB model.... This is an HP machine? With a crippled BIOS! It is actually a P5LP-LE. Still this MB will overclock with a BIOS upgrade. It needs to be flashed with the latest P5LD2 BIOS. *At his own risk of course*
