My brother had a evga graphic card. He had a long warranty on there, so when he send his graphic card to be replaced, they gave him a better one. Do some companies do that with laptops? I'm asking because i'm sort of in the same position, with my laptop. It's old, but I still have warrenty on it. Thank you for the help.
evga happens to be a very good company to deal with. they replaced the video card with a better one due to the fact that they do not produce the same model anymore so gave him an equivilent value newer model.
laptops may be a different story as often they use integrated video which is onboard the motherboard or if it is a seperate video card as is the case with some higher end models the components are often paired to work together which may make upgrading difficult. finding video drivers may be difficult as well.
i wouldnt worry about it unless you have an issue.
