Hey all, I have 2 Geforce 8800GT 512MB cards and I want to run them in an SLI config and was wondering which motherboards were good SLI boards. I have a Q6600 mildly overclocked to 2.6Ghz currently with 4GB of Kingston HyperX - KHX6400D2LLK2/2GN memory. Which board would be good for my current setup? I am hoping I can keep the RAM on this new board. I want good compatibilty, good overclocking, ease of use as far as bios changes go, and hopefully something thats a bit future proof although I know that isnt really going to happen with the new processors on their way. Thanks for the help!

For SLI with more than one card you will need an Nvidia board. 780i is the best with DDR2 (but it is very hot). In a few days the 790i DDR3 will be for sale and I read a review saying in SLI 9600gt (only new card available to review) that it's faster. About 10%, up to 20% in some cases.

790i is the only way to go - out this week striker ii extreme
or 780i - striker II formula if you can not wait - you can run a g0 q6600 at 3.6ghz

680i will only run the q chip at 3.2ghz
