I'm looking for the right motherboard for my rig now. I have a Intel Q6600 that I plan to overclock to at least around 3.2-3.4Ghz. So overclocking is a big factor for me.

I have used and really like the ASUS P5K series motherboards. I used the ASUS P5K-E for my friends rig and it works nice. It keeps everything stable and cool and OCd a E2180 to 3.4Ghz stable on air cooling. So I was looking at getting maybe that exact same motherboard for my rig, but then the P5K-C caught my eye. It seems to be pretty much the exact same board but with two DDR3 slots added in next to the 4 DDR2s. The E version only has DDR2.

So I have a few questions, first off it seems a few people reviewed that the DDR2 support for this board is bad and has trouble handing the DDR2 Dimms, but others say its great working just fine. BTW my RAM is Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800mhz.

My other question (which I think the answer is no) is can i mix memory? like have DDR2 and DDR3 memory in it? I'm not sure how that works.

So what motherboard out of these should I get? The P5K-e or P5K-c? The are the exact same price on Newegg ($139.99)
