Bypass XP Password

I am trying to access the files from a laptop hard drive. The drive is hooked up as a slave to my desktop PC. Whenever I try to access the files for the only user, I get an access denied message. The laptop had a password, and I cannot boot up the laptop.

Does anyone know how to bypass or erase the password configuration on the laptop hard drive?

If I missed any critical information or anyone has any questions just ask.

Thanks
