First Overclock, Have I Got This Right? Noob!!

I'm about to try my first overclock soon, I have been reading a few guides etc over the past few days. I just want to make sure I have the general idea behind it correct.

I'm going to be overclocking a E6300 1.86GHZ on a Gigabyte GA965P DS3 with a Arctic Cooler 7 and Corsair 2GBTWIN2X2048-5400C4.

Would this memory be suitable?

So basically what I need to be doing is upping the FSB in stages of about 5mhz each time and then running Prime95 to check for errors. If any errors occur I need to raise the Vcore slightly and try again. Obviously other factors come into account such as PCI-E voltages and DDR2 voltages.

I'm not sure when it comes to the memory though, from what I understand I need to leave the memory multiplyer at 2, as it is relevant to the FSB. Could someone explain this please?

You are correct 333 * 2 = 667. A little tired, I guess.

You don't need to touch PCI-E voltage. Keep the speed fixed at 100 MHZ.
Keep the memory at 1:1 initially. Don't overclock the memory until you have to. Raise the voltage of the memory when you overclock it.

Bring the FSB up to ~333 MHZ (333*7=2,331). After that you will be overclocking CPU and memory. Goes as far as your CPU temperature allows.
Keep temps under 70º at load.

Update:

Managed to get it to 2.2ghz and running stable. Had to put the Vcore up slightly. I have been trying to get it higher, but it causes Prime95 to error. Tried raising the Vcore even more, but no luck. Should I keep increasing the Vcore until it stops reporting errors? Or could it be something else?

I'm stuck at 2.2ghz at the moment due to temperature problems I think. It's currently idleing at about 47C, which rises to about 57-60C under load. I've been experiencing some wierd problems with games such as COD4, CSS and Crysis, whereby they crash to desktop, and just recently got a BSOD while palying Crysis. I'm going to refit the heat sink and apply some new thermal grease tomorrow, hopefully that should sort it.
