Yes, I have placed maybe a couple dozen orders from them without a problem. But that means, I have not had to deal with their RMA support to rate that. I will say, they are not my first choice though as it takes a good 7-9 days to reach me on the east coast with that free ground shipping.

Thats what im afraid of, is if somethings wrong with card. What would be my best choice for a card in the 150$-170$ range? 3850?

But it performs considerably slower than 2900pro.

Don't waste money on a 2900Pro. Get a 3850. I have a 2900XT and I would never wish this POS on anybody. It has no UVD and huge power draw. Its simply a waste of your money to get a Pro right now so do yourself a favor, listen to me, and get a 3850.

I have to agree with wingless on this. 3850 is your best bet right now. R600 has too many flaws to be recommended.

I absolutely love my 2900Pro 512bit.. Performance is about the same as old 8800gts 640mb@684/2000, loads in the mid 70's at 820/1880

Picked this one up for $160, sold my GTS for $200. Just wanted something diffferent to play with :p

Numbers? What kind of numbers? 3dmark, fraps in game? the only numbers i have are 3dmark ORB entries from
the old video card vs the new one in the same system.

it IS faster than my 8800 at its current clocks, You're right.. at default clocks it would be slower.

Also, 512bit pro and XT are the SAME card.

I think you're lost in the early driver days of the 2900, sure they still dont handle AA as well as the G80, but they can hold their own.

2900 PRO 512MB cards are almost as fast as 8800 GTS 640MB cards stock. With an overclock, they're right on par, if not a bit faster.

Remember, the 2900 XT was as fast as the 8800 GTS 640MB. The 2900 PRO 512-bit is a 2900 XT with slightly reduced clocks.

Yeah, I love my 2900pro. Draws a bit of power, but I could really care less. I bought the 1GB 512bit version and OC'ed it like crazy. Very fast! It was cheaper than a 2900xt and It is way faster than a 3850. Only the 3870 can compare. Running at 920/999 at 45C under load with water. For the price, the 2900pro is a steal, especially at $150. 3dmark06 scores a 12,500, I couldn't be happier for what I paid.

Yeah I actually have the 2900Pro 256-bit and I could not be happier. At 850/1000 I'm able to get 11k in 3dMark06. It's amazing how this card performs for the price I payed for it, $130 dollars + shipping. If you don't care about power consumption and the fan being loud when turned up, this card is amazing.

I actually have a 3850 512mb card coming in by Monday from Newegg, so I'll be able to give you guys some results on my OC"d 2900Pro vs. 3850 512mb OC'd. Hopefully I can get the 3850 512mb to perform faster, or else I just wasted $30 dollars on my brother for nothing.

You arent going to get 850mhz on that 3850... well maybe with good cooling and a vmod.. they both have 256bit memory width, so i dunno.

holy crap thats a huge oc! did you have to mod the bios to get it to go that far? Doesnt the slider on rivatuner only go up to 858mhz core? congrats on that oc again by the way

If I couldn't find it at a better site, and I wanted the card, I would order from ewiz for sure. Stinks to pay more than newegg was selling it for though. Otherwise , The closest performance you will find for under $160 is the HD3850, which more often than not loses to the 2900 pro performance-wise. Has other benefits though. Search for deals, I paid $144 one.

If you don't mind a rebate or NVidia, you may want to see if you can muster up $200 for an 8800GT 512MB though. http://www.ncixus.com/products/27328/88YFF6HUFEXX/Galaxy%20Technology/
