I will most likely be playing Half life 2 mods and this system should be able to play at max fps on max settings. I am not really looking to play crysis or games of that caliber for a while. Is this a good system for the price and have I chosen decent parts? Thank you in advance for any feedback.

looks pretty decent for what you're using it for, go for it.

If you're not overclocking, ditch the cpu cooler & swap the ram out for any value PC2-6400 RAM.

The only good psu from TT is ToughPower. That ain't it. Either get a Corsair VX 450/500+ or a tier 2/3:

It WON'T play Crysis at full settings. It will play HF2 maxed out. What's the monitor resolution?

I will be using 1280 x 1204. I have made a few changes as well in my first post. Mainly the video card/ram/power supply. I will be OCing the processor.

Perfect.

You can max out most every new games with that GTS512 at that resolution.

Since you're overclocking the cpu, get a better cooler like infinity, ninja, typhoon, tuniq, t120e (TRUE), etc. Freezer is great for stock or light overclock.
