what happened was (this is an external computer) anyways... I deleted a partiton on my drive. This was a brand new 160 gig 2.5" SATA drive. Hitachi to be exact. So when I erased the partition it said that it was only a 74 Gig HDD. Even the BIOS says it that too!!! What do I do?!?!?

if my understanding lal right, you say you have a new 160gb drive
that it had 2 partitions, and that you just deleted 1

i supose you mean bios and windows now report the drive as 74 gig, (not the remaining partition)

THE DRIVE IS ****

it happened to me, you didnt do anything, it just happens, its like the head mottors fail and then it can only use 1 platter , instead of 2+, so the drive halves its size
RMA it its NEW after all

this is in the asumption that you set up the drive correctly in bios, and that you are refering to disk size and not partition size
