Hi

I currently have A Dell Dimension E520 which has a ATI Radeon X1300 graphics card in and a PSU of just 300W I think. I know the PSU will limit my options of graphic upgrades, but could anyone recommend a better card that would work with my system without changing the PSU?

Thanks

Hmm that's a tough one, what's the amperage on the 12v+ rail?

Just had a look.

305 watts with 22 amps on the +12v rails.

That's not too bad at all. You should be able to throw a 2600XT on it which will give you a lot better performance in gaming and will HD video decoding onboard. It also has native HDMI which is a big plus.

I had the same psu in my E521 (AMD version of yours)

Some even run an 8800GT on it (I wouldn't)
If you upgrade your psu an 8800GT works fine (that's what I did)

Get an 3850. I have a E510 and thats want I am going to buy soon.
You will have to use a 4pin to pcie adapter but thats no problem. If you don't have any 4 pins then a 4pin to 2x 4pin y cable will do the trick.

Yeah if you can afford the HD 3850 that's the best choice if not, the next best choice would be a 2600XT for around $90 dollars.
