Get em quick!

I understand this isn't the best place to post this, but I know how many people are after these so maximum coverage is priority. Mods can freely delete tomorrow, as I'm sure they're sold by then!

It's worth checking Ebuyer every day if you are after one.

I managed to get one on Tuesday, there were 40 in stock in the morning when I looked just by chance.  In the afternoon they had all gone.

Save your money and wait for the next stepping its a defective chip, I returned mine, the temperatures where totally off. Intel is selling defective chips, shame on them.

Is it different if Intel churns out a dud chip that doesn't show the temps right??

The horde are all silent??

Can't take it on the chin??

How does this compare to Phenom??

At least AMD told us.

When your selling somethign that generates heat don't you think that temperature sensors should be reading things correctly?

I mean ... what happens when one catches fire??

I guess the company can sue Intel for the damage ... and for non-disclosure ... opens the can of worms right up.

Can't wait till that happens ...

Courts will be having a field day with a product that is sold knowingly that generates heat as part of it's normal function and the sensors don't work properly.

PC's are household appliances ... everywhere.

Doesn't sit well for "public safety".

But ... they are really fast ... I am sure that defense will work well for them too.

I expect a recall ...

Agreed the fanboyism is really sad trying to justify them selling bad chips.

AMD had to address poor thermal shutdown sensors on their early XP CPU's ...  Intel's thermal shutdown sensors were excellent in comparison.

As I recall AMD were pretty tardy then ... so I expect Intel will fix this issue quickly.

sweet mother of god are the 2 of you just spamming every forums about a temp senor being off by +/- 5 degrees??? Seriously any one who o/cs should add 5 degrees for safety since..news flash probably every sensor on every CPU Is off...its an engineering marvel called tolerance and intel NOR Amd is going to chuck a chip away because the thermal sensor is off by 5 degrees..(give or take) i can probably guess there tolerance is +/-15 easy
