Hello,
I just bought a Sony Reader (PRS-T1), nice little unit but I'm getting a weird USB bug under Vista... when I plug it into a laptop running Vista, the reader gets no power from the USB port. What's strange is that if I reboot the computer, the Sony reader will get power as long as Vista isn't started. Windows does recognize that a USB device is connected (I get the 'ta-da' and 'ta-dom' sound when I plug/unplug the Sony reader) but the Sony Reader doesn't get power.

If I connect to a different laptop running XP the Sony reader works fine though so it seems Vista has issue with this particular device (???)

What other USB devices on your system VS the other system. ?
Try unplugging another (or more) usb devices.
