I'm getting ready to build a new system. I've read a lot about different CPU's, but need to pick a motherboard and I'm running into a brick wall. My goal system will be most likely a Q6600 over clocked between 3.2 and 3.6 with Tuniq or similar. By carefully choosing everything, I hope to reach 3.5ghz on air. At minimum I'd like to be able to plug in 3 PCI cards, but 4 would be good too. But most boards seems to offer only 2 PCI slots. One of my 3 cards is a tv tuner. I was going to spend for a new Tuner card, but there was almost nothing but graphics cards offered.. I found only one which I couldn't use in PCI-e yet there are about 8 choices in PCI, and this is 2008! So I couldn't even buy a new one if I decided to shelf the old one. To me, it seems like the slower (1X) PCI-e slots in place of the older PCI are a step backwards since there are so few things that can be plugged in. Because of that, I'm trying to choose a motherboard with enough PCI slots it won't hurt performances majorly or cause other problems etc..
Out of all the boards I see, I've noticed the Asus Commando. It has 2 16X PCI-e, and 4 PCI 2.2. That would be enough slots, BUT I started wondering if I'm missing out on any features of other boards. I also looked at a Asus P5K WiFi Deluxe, board, but it seems that it only has 2 PCI. In a review I read, the first page says it has 2 PCI. But the 2nd Page lists 3 PCI 32 bit slots. Are those all typical PCI 2.2 slots? Maybe it's a typo. From the picture, it does seem like 3 standard PCI slots, but I can't be sure.
Additonal note on my CPU search. I glossed over the Q9450, but noticed it has a locked multiplier at 8X. So even though it's 45nm it won't go much faster than the Q6600 in clock speed. The chip is naturally 5% faster, but then it needs the right mobo, memory and I've read that it's more difficult and/or more expensive to set up. Plus it will be higher priced when it comes out, only to sell out quickly. So I'd have to wait a lot longer for that 5%. That's why I went towards the Q6600. But if I'm wrong, anyone can feel free to comment on that too.
That said, I hope to get a great system on probably a Q6600. But I need to choose a motherboard. What I really need to know is, Am I missing out on something with the PK5 Deluxe or other boards over the Commando that's worth noting, or is the Commando fantastic as some have said? I don't mind spending $200 for a board, but I'd rather not spend much more. I'd still like to know about them if they are expensive, but may not get them. Trying to choose has really kept me from ordering, but I'm sure some of you have probably had the same tough choices. Any ideas would be appreciated. And I'll be continuing to read as I wait. Thanks.

Update: Just found an Asus p5k Premium with 3 pci slots, which may be better than the Commando.. But It's getting mixed reviews over and newegg. I wonder if the Asus p5k Deluxe is better than. Any ideas welcome.
