Hello Iam new here i hawe one problem.
I think my 3dmark06 scores should be better.
My system
Windows Xp Home.
Msi k9a2cf-f
Asus 8800 GTS 512
Amd Phenom 9600 (tlb dix turned off)
4x 1 Gb Kingston Ddr 2 800 Mhz

Defult setings 1280x1024 resoliution.
3dmark06 score :11176
SM 2.0: 4367
HDR/SM :3.0 5061
CPU : 3458
Shouldn't i get more from SM 2.0 ?

And talking about Crysis at ewerything set HIGH NO AA/AF
When there aren't any other soldners (no fighting, jus valking in the jungle ) FPS goes 40 ~
When comes one fighting explosions fps stays 20 sometimes even 16~ should it be like that
i tried many difrent drivers .... nothing goes better....

Sorry For bad english ...

Should i change my os home to pro?
Could it make any diffrence?

Reply to sc3m

No, changing the OS probably won't change anything. Crysis is very demanding.

That's normal for Crysis. See the following review:

http://www.pcper.com/article.php?a [...] ert&pid=12

The only way to get high frame rates at the setting you want to play at is to put that game away and wait about 18 months for a new high end video card. I'm not talking about the next generation of nVidia cards coming out this year. I'm talking about cards that are 2 generations from what is currently out now.

What's the score from a 1680 x 1050 run, with AA/AF maxed?

Setting shaders to 'medium' no AA and everything else on 'high' @ 1680 x 1050 nets me a good 30+ fps avg.

hmmm we're comparing 3dmark scores of a stock phenom 9600 based system with a gts512 to systems that are benched on a q6600 at close to twice the clock speed of the phenom, and saying his scores too low........

You should get around 12-13k on 3dmark with your combo. May possibly be having poor driver issues?

Make sure that you are using the Crysis v1.1 patch and the 169.28 Forceware beta drivers. They can make a big difference.

Your joking right? Your processor is almost double from stock 4GHz compared to 2.4GHz and he has a Phenom 9600 with a stock 8800gts 512mb. :heink:

****EDIT****

Your 3DMark06 score looks different, why?

I know but, like dude said he should be getting like 13k

Come on now lets not for get this is a stock Phenom not a 4.0 q6600. And lets not forget that Phenoms have some issues which might possibly be into play here. I'd say its right on for what you got.

I agree, my 8800GTX 3DMark06 stock score was slightly above 10k. After my OC it was 12,800

sc3m, your 3d mark 06 score does seem normal.

http://service.futuremark.com/resu [...] ultType=14

Hope you can all see my score :) .

If you can't:
11883 @ 1280 x1024
Q6600 @ stock speeds
8800 GTS 512.

I'm sure if I o'ced my Q6600 I could get higher, but I won't be getting anywhere near 4GHZ.

Truehighroller - I take it your rig is watercooled. I thought 3.6 Ghz was the max most people could expect on air for reliable results

I think you setting the in-game graphic setting too high, if I were to put all on high I to would get less than 40 fps. It doesn't matter if your using DX9 in XP, you can't expect too much from this game in any OS.

Yeah but then again your E2180 is OCed while he has a Phenom. It could be his cpu holding back his vidcard.

reading some of the comments above, one might think Phenoms have been around for ages, and everyone knows what to expect of them in 3dmark tests.

yeah. i agree. we are all noobs at a certain point of our lives. but hai. google did great job in taking the noobness out of my life.

there are many threads in TH saying i got low 3rdmark score, or i got this score in 3rdmark is it good. n urself n other pple answered to the same questions. yet it is difficult to just look there n find the answer!!!

i mean, if u can play a game without noticing frame rates drop, is there any problem? regardless of hw much fps or 3rd mark u get? as long as he/she playing a game without his/her eyes noticing anything. i think he/she should save the space in TH database of threads. :fou:

Yes it does.. I don't run it at 4Ghz all the time 3.6 is my norm 24/7 speed. I stuck it outside in the 15 or so degree weather for that speed :P.

How do I quote all these people lol,,

Nightwolf, I don't run it constantly. I run @ 3.6Ghz all the time.

Systemlord, I had one of them give out on me the other night.. :( I had to send two back a couple months back because I wanted 4Gbs but, the heat sinks were jacked up when I got them and at the time I needed the money so, I just sent them back and got the money back. This time one stick out of the two that I did keep, and had good ,, sorta heatsinks went out out on me out of no where it just died, and started restarting my PC all crazy. I am going to tell them since I have had so many issues with this memory that I would like for them to custom make me a set of 2x 2gb stick with good spreaders on them.. :)

I don't think it's his cpu..maybe...I have my E2180 @ 3Ghz and get about 11400. BUT my CPU score is only about 2600~2700 while his is about 3500...kind of weird, the 8800GTS should be cleaning up my 8800GT...well thats @ 700/1990 too..
