Greetings. I was wondering if anyone has some insight to offer on my new system build. My new motherboard is an MSI K9MM-V, cpu is AMD Athlon 64 3800+(socket AM2, single core). My cpu has a Scythe Nina plus rev B heatsink. I added 2 x 1GB OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 / 800 MHz / Reaper HPC Edition / Dual Channel ram. evga 7600GT agp 8x video card. 430W psu.
When i try to boot it up I can only load the POST screen, I can't get into the BIOS. The computer stops responding after it lists the type of ram installed. I tried setting the ram in both single slots, and I even bought some other ddr2 ram to see if the ram is the problem. I get the same result. I have already tryed re-installing everything to make sure it was installed correctly. I also played around with basic hard drive settings. I can't figure out what is wrong.
If you have any guesses or tips, any insight would help.
