Okay, I'm a little confused and I could use some help here. I just built up a new system with the ASUS P6T Deluxe motherboard. Currently I have only 2 1TB drives setup with RAID 0. I would like to add 2 more 1TB drives and then add one super fast drive (10,000k or SSD) to be used as a boot device.

But if I understand correctly, once I switch the onboard controller to RAID mode, all 6 of the connectors are for RAID purposes only. Which means that I can't do what I want to do.

Can someone please clarify and help explain the best way to perform what I would like?

On a somewhat side note...I was looking at a BD Burner, but it's SATA, does that mean I won't be able to use that either?!?!?

No, all 6 are not just for RAID. I have 4 1TB drives in a RAID 0 + 1x 2TB backup drive (not in RAID) and an LG DVD ROM in SATA, all work fine. you can control which disks are in the array via ctrl+i and the RAID boot menu.

As for adding more drives w/o rebuilding, IDK, but I really want to find out.

If you find out how, please email: criimsoniian@gmail.com

thanks!
