How do I turn on my HP pavilion notebook

I just got a new HP pavillion notebook last week and today I turned it on then it said restarting and it never came back on. How do I get it back on?

Disconnect the mains, take out the battery and hold the power button down for 30 seconds. Noew put the battery back in and then the mains and power on.

If it works, your power button has suffered a build up of static that sometime stops HP's from power on.

Failing that, RMA !
