OK I've got an ecs geforce6100sm-m MoBo, Althlon 64 X2 4200+ OC'ed 5% , 2 2Gig DDR2-800, 1 cd-dvd rw, 1 cd rw, 1 sata2 500 Gig, 1 sata2 80Gig, 2 80mm hi-speed fans, 1 120mm fan, 1 40mm fan, and the AMD fan.
I am going to be getting a video card in the future. I'm not planning to run sli. Anyway I got a PC power and cooling silencer quad.

But for some reason I could not get it to power up my comp. I got nothing... I tried usin it as a 20 pin and as a 24 pin nodda... Put in the dinky 350w that came with the case and tada works. Any way I know i am going to need a better PSU, and eventuly MoBo but for now this is what i got and most of the stuff i will be able to put onto the next MoBo. Anyway any help would be apperatied. Thanks

That PSU is fauty and also much higher power than you need! RMA it, but if you got a refund you could buy a good 500W PSU and save a bit.

Antec Earth Works, FSP, OCZ, and Seasonic all make good PSU. 500w should be fine

I'd be wary of OCZ/FSP, some of their models have some issues with +12v stability. SeaSonic and companies it makes PSUs for like Corsair and PC Power and Cooling make some better stability power supplies. Antec Earthwatts and NeoPower/NeoHE are SeaSonic based also, although not as quality as the Corsairs and PC Power and Coolings are, but great budget units and plenty power for a normal user.
