Transfering files from memory stick to laptop

I can read the programe on my memory stick on my laptop but I cannot save the programe to my laptop. Does it it mean I cannot download it?

Can you give an example of what you are saving ?
What error do you receive that you can't save file ?
Where are you trying to save the file to ?

helo, i can read the files stored in memory stick on my lap top but I don't know how to save the files on to my window vista. can you help please?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Right click any file or entire folder you want to transfer and scroll to Copy. Go to the folder where you want to store them in Vista, right click it and scroll to Paste.

You now have two copies of the same files and you can delete those from the memory stick once you're certain they transferred over properly.
